We are here in Tenerife and today is Majellas birthday so we are having a nice quiet day and tonight we will go for dinner with some friends. I only got here a couple of days ago and I am really looking forward to the break because it's been a really busy time lately. I haven't really spoken to you since our tour in the States. As you know we had a great time at the Ryman in Nashville. I believe that show is being aired in the Detroit Public Television area in April, so to any of you that come under that umbrella, look out for us! All other regions will get to see it in August. For those of you in the rest of the world, it will be available on DVD towards the end of this year.
We enjoyed our shows in the Carolinas and Florida very much. I hope you enjoyed them too. On returning to Ireland after that tour, it was straight into promoting my new album "Moon Over Ireland". It has been very well received and featured in the charts in many countries. Its always a trill to get in the charts and thats not possible without your support. We then had our shows in the UK and thank God this time, we weren't bothered by the snow!
I will stay here now until the 27th April. On the 1st May I will be taking part in the Donegal Day in Glasgow. This is a day that is used to promote Donegal as a holiday destination to Scotland. It takes place in Merchants Square between 12 noon and 6pm. Later that evening there will be a concert in the Royal Concert Hall featuring a number of Donegal artists and I will be taking part. Tickets are available from the Concert Hall. Then we're off on our tour to America and Canada. Looking forward to seeing many familiar faces and I'm sure some new ones as we travel around.
Thanks to all our you who attended our shows in the recent past and to those of you who bought our new album. It is, as always, very much appreciated. I think thats all the news for now. I must go because the sun is calling!!!
Take care and God bless.................
