May Update

Hi there
I'm sitting here in Chicago airport waiting for my flight to Dublin. I was supposed to stay in Tenerife until Daniel finished his tour of North America and Canada but I missed him that much that I decided that I would travel out to the show in Toronto and surprise him!! I have to say, it worked a treat. Nobody knew I was going except the tour promoters who organised everything for me. When Daniel arrived at the hotel in Toronto I was already there waiting for him and he was delighted! I only came over for 5 nights and to see 1 of the shows. I saw a bit of Toronto, which I have to say is a lovely city and I went to the concert there. Daniel was only here for 2 nights before he moved on to the next venue. It was a short visit but really worth it!!
Daniel is enjoying the tour which is quite extensive going from one side of the country to the other. He went to Edmonton in the west of Canada to St. Johns in the east and down to Pennsylvania in America. He will be back in Ireland on the 11th June when I'm sure he will need a bit of rest.
Lots of you are asking what Daniel will be doing for his 50th Birthday. Well I have to say that it won't be much!! He really doesn't want to do or go anywhere in particular. We are going away with some friends for a week in September and that will be nice treat but apart from that, we will probably be at home and I will do a special dinner for the family.
As most of you probably know, Queen Elizabeth recently paid an historic visit to Ireland. She is the first monarch to visit in 100 years. Daniel was invited to attend a reception given by the Queen and President McAleese but unfortunately, he was leaving for his tour and had to decline. It was such a shame because he would really love to meet the Queen and thinks she is a remarkable woman. Hopefully he will get to meet her again sometime.
