Majella just called to tell me that the website needed to be updated and she is away for a couple of days so I got Patricia to help me with it!!
I am in Donegal at the moment and I have a few days off. I haven't got much news really and thank God, everything is good. This month I recorded some songs for a new album to celebrate my 30 years in show business. There will be some old songs on it and I have recorded 10 new ones. I really enjoyed doing it and I hope that you enjoy it when it's released which should be sometime in October. I also did a couple of charity functions in the UK this month also which was very rewarding.
Tomorrow morning there will be a live broadcast for Mid-West Radio from my house in Meenbanad, Donegal. I'm sure that you will be able to listen in on-line if you have a computer. It's on from 11am to 1pm. It should be fun and there will be a few people there to talk about Donegal and sing a few songs.
Last night I went to a cabaret in a hotel in Donegal Town called Harveys Point. Majella was singing as part of the cabaret and I have never seen her performing on her own before. Well I have to say she was great. Really great!
I was pleasantly surprised. She had great presence and I felt very proud of her. They asked her to perform for the whole season but she felt that the nerves would be too much. She really enjoyed it and I believe that she is going to do another evening on 24th August for the hotel. Who said she was a kept woman??
The irish tour starts next week so hopefully I will see some of you along the way. I know that there are people coming from abroad as well so make sure you bring the sunshine with you!! I hope that you will have a good tour around Ireland and enjoy our beautiful country.
My stepdaughter Siobhan left for Australia yesterday and there were lots of tears all round. She is gone to do some traveling for a few months and I'm sure she will have a great time. It doesn't stop mum worrying though!!
Michael is travelling all around Europe for the summer and is having a ball.
It's great to see the young people these days being able to travel the world. There was no such thing when I was their age.
Well thats all for now. Take care of yourselves and God bless.......................
